The paintings in this exhibition are all original watercolours depicting scenes from Vancouver and the lower mainland. The square format is designed to create a miniature world, drawing the viewer into the image, which often takes a slightly unusual perspective on our familiar Vancouver. The images are painted directly on wood panel surface, which is an unusual medium for watercolour. The paintings do not have to be framed behind glass, and the wood surface provides a varied texture, compared to paper.
